How We Ship Microgreens
Back Mountain Microgreens’ organically-grown, fresh-cut, microgreens are packed for shipment only hours after harvest.
Microgreens are packed in premium quality, insulated coolers, with cold packs, to ensure your special event, be it for family or clients, has the show-stopping microgreens you need to complete your look and palate.
Microgreens ship from our location in Dallas, Pennsylvania one of two ways:
FedEx Standard Overnight (Air shipments) are available to addresses within the 48 contiguous United States.
FedEx 1-Day Ground (which arrives overnight) in these states:
Connecticut
Delaware
District of Columbia
Maryland
New Jersey
New York
Pennsylvania
Virginia
West Virginia

Why is it so expensive to ship microgreens?
Packaging
Cut microgreens are perishable. They must be refrigerated immediately after harvest, and need to stay refrigerated until use. The premium packaging (boxes, coolers, and ice-packs) we use to keep your microgreens fresh following harvest, all the way until they make it to you, is just that… PREMIUM… because our name is on the line. Ordering shipped greens from us isn’t like ordering from a distributor where they show up days after harvest, wilted, and soggy. It’s important to us that when your order is delivered, it looks and tastes the same as when we harvested it and we can make that promise because of the premium materials we use to achieve our goal of maintaining a steady temperature.
Shipping
Time equals money, and no where is this more evident than in regard to moving packages from one place to another. That we need your microgreens to arrive “tomorrow” in order to preserve freshness, is a premium service, and it comes with a premium price tag. Whether your greens are going across the state, or across the country, time is of the essence.

We ship Monday - Thursday evening depending on product availability.
Shipment tracking info will be shared via email once orders are shipped.
Tips on Receiving
Deliveries do not require a signature, however, to ensure the freshness of your microgreens, it’s best to open the package and refrigerate them as soon as possible after they are delivered.
